Competition is head-head, points based.

Each Mon-Thu is a new head-head 3 games series; 

Each Fri-Sun is a new, head-head 3 game series.

Sum of all Hitting category points is one win/loss in standings.

Sum of all Pitching category points is one win/loss in standings. 

Sum of all Total Points combined is one win/loss in standings. .

You can sweep a series, get swept, go 2-1 or just salvage a game and go 1-2 in a series.

For 20 years we have been playing this system. Our results mirror the standings of Major League Baseball. We play a weekday and weekend series versus different opponents just like MLB. And each week we play for 6 games in the standings, also like MLB (usually 6-7 games per week).

In addition to intense realism, one highlight of this game is that you get a fresh series every Monday/Friday. There is rarely a night in the season that isnt meaningful since series start Monday and again on Friday, and you can usually battle for a hitting or pitching win even if your getting clobbered in either.

Roster size is 26 players with 11 hitters and 8 pitchers in starting lineup for each series.

Hitters get positive points for the usual categories including HR, 3B, 2B, 1B, BB, SB, RS, as well as negative points for outs and strikeouts. Pitchers get positive  points for the usual categories including, Wins, Saves, Ks, IPs, Quality Start, Holds but also get negative points for Losses, BlownSaves, BBs, Hits Alllowed etc...

All scoring is weighted and balanced so each owner can construct the type of team you desire. Power Hitters, Speedsters, Contact Guys, Starters, Relievers all contribute to your team in a cohesive way that more represents real MLB than many fantasy games.

Entry fee is $200. Maximum prize is 1150 for winning regual season and playoffs. 

In addition, 4 other teams win money or break even after the post-season tounaments following 132-game regular season.

The game is consistently compelling and addictive. We have one ownership slot for a dedicated owner in 2019.

2015, Batting vs. Hitting first 12 series

Thru first 12 series, roughly one-quarter of the season, Pitching is outscoring Hitting by only about 10%, which is good and a bit surprising to me.
Pitch averages is 68 and Batting is 60 and Total 128.

Below are teams in order of Total Points,  then in order of Batting Points, then Pitching Points with Place in standings overall to far right.

Tonics and CFash are both 1st and Last in Batting/Pitching respectively and 8th/10th overall, so the imbalanced approach doesnt seem to be working either way.

2015 League Overview

We draft March 29th, Sunday from about 715-915. Fee is 150- lots of prizes.

Draft is online...  I like to get owner roster finalized well in advance cuz we all have busy schedules.

We play head-head 3 games series just like in MLB so our pace of standing is just like the bigs. 

Ive been running this one and only league for 17 years. Only one I play in and owners are loyal and pretty hard core.

Sum of all Hitting cats is a head-head win/loss,  

Sum of all Pitching cats is head-head win/loss, 

Sum of all Total pts is win/loss.

Mon-Thu is a head-head 3 games series; Fri-Sun is a head-head 3 game series..

Its easy to pickup and intuitive. Nice thing is there is rarely a night in the season that isnt meaningful since series start Monday and again on Friday, and you can usually battle for a hitting or pitching win even if your getting clobbered in either.
